Tara Klassen, M.Ed., C.C.C.
Tara Klassen holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of
Manitoba and has been a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and
Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2014.
Tara provides individual counselling to adults and youth. Her approach is primarily grounded in
the Person-Centered theoretical approach to counselling, while also integrating a variety of
therapeutic models including Strengths-based, Emotion-focused, CBT, DBT and Solution-
focused approaches. She tailors her work to each client’s unique needs, interests, and
personality, and practices through a trauma-informed lens.
Her areas of specialty include finding hope in grief and loss, depression and anxiety, stress
management, life transitions, self esteem, disordered eating and body image struggles,
spirituality, supporting parents, and navigating relationships. Tara has a particular passion for
helping women of all ages and from all walks of life overcome challenges and setbacks, and
learning to trust their authentic inner voice and strength. Tara’s clients have experienced her to
be warm, empathic, caring and nonjudgmental.

Wendy Martens, Counsellor M.Ed., C.C.C.-Q
Wendy Martens holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and works with children, youth, and adults navigating anxiety, attachment concerns, family transitions, and life changes. She is especially passionate about supporting women through the complexities of life, as well as individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, helping them build resilience, confidence, and practical tools for everyday life.
Wendy’s approach is warm, relational, and person-centred. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and attachment-based approaches. Whether meeting in person or virtually, Wendy creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward.
With over 25 years of experience in the education field, including 15 years in the role of a school counsellor, Wendy brings deep insight into emotional development, attachment, and family dynamics across all stages of life.
Wendy is a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds a Christian worldview while warmly welcoming individuals and families from all backgrounds and experiences. Wendy considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing, clarity, and renewed confidence.
